About the event
The team of the DISCO Lab (Design for Inter Species Collectives, CARADT) would like to invite you to St. Joost's Goodbye Garden in their Breda campus for an introduction to the Seasonal Lab, hosted by educator Michaela Davidova.
This nomadic lab is an extended open-air learning environment where visitors are encouraged to look, listen, smell, dig, taste, stay with, and learn how to live and work reciprocally. The lab collaborates with local foragers and organisations who care for the ecosystems of Noord-Brabant, and builds on bringing field research practice back into the lab, creating an entangled and regenerative workspace.
During the gathering, participants will also get to know the archival project of graphic master Machteld van de Voorde, who is mapping the forested area of St. Joost Academie using natural dyes and pigments. The garden will soon no longer belong under the wings of the school hence the name Goodbye…
